I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Tampere Institute of Advanced Study and a member of the Professional Growth and Learning research group. I earned my PhD in Education from Tampere University in 2020. My research focuses on professional development in higher education, particularly in conflict-affected contexts. As a Finnish Palestinian, originally from Gaza, and a mother of five children, I have learned firsthand the profound need for love and support that orphans experience. This personal insight drives my commitment to my role as the Deputy of the Gaza Orphans association, where I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of Gaza's orphans.

I am a senior software developer at XMLdation, a Finnish-Irish FinTech company. I hold a BSc in Computer Engineering from the Islamic University of Gaza, graduating in 2003, and have over 15 years of experience in software development. My career began as a DBA and database developer, but I have since transitioned to full stack development, working with technologies such as Java Spring Boot and Vue.js. In addition to my professional expertise, I earned a PhD in Education from the University of Minho in Portugal in 2018. My research focuses on human-computer interaction and information retrieval on the Internet. As a member of the Gaza Orphans Association, I am dedicated to developing a website to streamline the donation process for orphans in need in Gaza.
